What are we?

We are a linen redistribution charity.

We take donated new linen and bedding; pack them into ready-to-grab packs and deliver them to existing community centres and women’s shelters.

We are a supplier charity for the charities (think B2B).

HOW DO We DO THIS?

It’s a simple 3 step process:

1. We collect goods from donors, retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers

2. We sort & pack the bedding packs into bed sizes containing:

  • 1 x sheet set & doona cover

  • 1 x doona and pillow

  • 1 x mattress protector

3. We distribute the packs to existing community centres and women’s shelters.

WHY DO WE DO THIS?

Bedding is more than fabric — it’s security, rest, and the feeling of being cared for. It offers warmth and safety, and in times of crisis, it brings hope. By collecting and collating sheets, doonas and pillows, we restore comfort where it’s most needed.

Too many women and children are fleeing family domestic violence situations with nothing but the clothes on their back.

Some recent statistics are:

  • Australian Police respond to a domestic violence call every 2 minutes.

  • 1 in 6 women have experienced physical or sexual violence by a current or former partner, while for men it is 1 in 16. (Mission Australia)

  • An estimated 4.2 million Australian adults (21%) have experienced partner violence or abuse since the age of 15. (safelife.com.au)

We want to provide the simple comfort of clean fresh bedding for those in a time of crisis.

VANESSA CRIBB Founder

After years in the interior styling industry, Vanessa saw firsthand the abundance of quality bedding and linen that often went unused or was discarded simply to make way for new trends.

At the same time, she became increasingly aware of the ever-growing need to help community centres and women’s shelters who are struggling to provide even the most basic comfort of a clean, warm bed.

This contrast sparked a deep desire to create change. Drawing on her industry connections, eye for quality, and commitment to helping others, Vanessa founded CozyCause to supply linen and bedding packs to women and children in need of basic home comforts in a time of crisis.

Fun sleepy fact: I love being woken up in the morning by my puppy labrador standing over my head looking at me funny!

She is committed to CozyCause’s mission of providing comfort and hope to women and children in crisis — and to ensuring the organisation has the foundations to grow its impact.

Fun fact: I hate being "tucked in" in bed especially around my feet. I travel a lot for my work so every time I stay in a hotel, the first thing I do is "unmake" the top sheet/doona that's nicely tucked under, out from the end of the bed.

APRIL WHITTAM, Director

Fun fact: April’s puppy Molly gets complete reign of the doona each night and she absolutely hogs the bed!
